Advent with Littles: Nativity Scenes

One thing I’m finding very helpful in explaining Advent to Mary is our Nativity scenes. She is completely in love with our big ceramic one that she isn’t allowed to touch but she is enjoying the others as well.

Nathaniel’s parents gave us this for Christmas the first year we were married and I love having it up.

Here are our wisemen, they will get closer and closer every week until Epiphany. 🙂

This beautiful pop up book is on our display shelf, I change the page every so often. Mary loves this book but she is only allowed to read it when she is sitting with me.

I got this fold out Nativity scene at the 10,000 villages sale for $5! It is made from palm leaves and I’m totally in love with it. It’s just so beautiful!

Our Little People Nativity has been a huge hit, Mary loves playing with it and Luke loves chewing on all the animals!

Jesse Tree: Day 3

Fall of Man: Gen. 3:1-7 and 23-24

We don’t have anything in our little bible for this, I will read to Mary from my bible and talk to her about it. I’ll explain that Jesus had to come as a little baby as a result of Adam and Eve not listening to God.
